The High Priestess leaves as quietly as she had arrived and, in her place, arrives her regal sister the Empress, as she raps at the door with her Sceptre. She presides over the creative world and in doing so is familiar with death – Nature knows that endings and beginnings are as one.
Death embraces her and gives her the gift of release.
In return, she grants him the boon of being part of life.
